I am in the real estate business and I have been in this industry for 28 years. Wherever I go people speak to me about the housing market. The first question they ask me, is it true that people cannot get mortgage money these days? This question comes up on a daily basis. I guess the media created this erroneous information. It is so untrue!! If you have decent credit, mortgage money is very available!! Actually, the market is amazing for buyers. With interest rates so low and houses below fair market value, this is a WIN-WIN time to purchase a home.
